We will explore the famous “Peștera” cave monastery, carved directly into the limestone by monks hundreds of years ago. We’ll enter the modest cells where they prayed and feel the peace of this sacred place while enjoying the spectacular bird’s-eye view of the valley.

But Orheiul Vechi is more than that. It’s an open-air archaeological complex where we’ll see traces of Geto-Dacian fortresses, the ruins of a Tatar bathhouse, and the remains of a medieval Moldovan town.
