The church "Assumption of the Virgin Mary" in Causeni will be the first point you will visit today. It is the only church in Moldova that has interior walls decorated with medieval frescoes. It will not go unnoticed the fact that the church is half buried in the ground. This is explained by the prohibitions of Tatar rule, when Christian churches would not have a height higher than that of a Tatar soldier.
At noon, you will find yourself in the valley of the Dniester, in the village of Talmaza. Here, besides the multitude of irrigated fields, where peasants cultivate ecological vegetables, a particular place occupies the vineyards. Talmaza is also home to many popular artisans. Among their works, you can admire the windmill of Tihon, one of the few of its kind in Moldova. Many of the locals practice hunting, which will give you the opportunity to serve many traditional dishes. The rabbit steak with potatoes will simply melt in your mouth and roast pork will make you good impressions of Moldavian gastronomy.
